Complete Trace System Set (Parts 1-4)

An effective 4 part system to dose critical trace elements in a method that works well with calcium reactors and kalk dosing. This system provides the major minor and trace elements essential to coral health. 

IDEAL CALCIUM LEVELS

The recommended dosing is based on calcium consumption. Recommended ideal calcium level to maintain a healthy reef aquarium is between 430–450 parts per million (ppm). DOSING BY CALCIUM CONSUMPTION

1. Determine your tank’s daily calcium consumption and current trace element levels. An ICP test is recommended to accurately determine the existing levels of trace elements in your tank.

2. The suggested formula to determine dosing is:

Drop in calcium per day (in ppm) x aquarium size (in gallons) x 0.0035 = daily suggested dose in ml for each part of the system.

Example: 10ppm * 300 gallons * 0.0035 = 10.5 ml 

DOSING BY SPECIFIC ELEMENT

Interval ICP testing is recommended for most accurate results. Monitor trace element consumption from ICP testing over a chosen time period, and make adjustments based on your tank consumption of the specific trace element. 

DOSING METHODS

1. Connect directly to 4 part dosing pump: Connect each bottle directly to the 4-part dosing pump you are using. 

2. Pour into dosing container:  Pour each bottle into a section of a 4-part dosing container. Do not combine bottle contents, as this may cause calcification or unwanted interactions that may affect results. 

3. Hand dose into tank: Each bottle can be dosed separately by hand, as needed according to your tank consumption. One capful is equal to approximately 5mL of solution.

Part 4: RO/DI Water, Vanadium, Rubidium, Molybdenum, and Strontium
